Hello Everyone. I'm new to the site and looking to stay motivated and talk to other who have or are in the process of changing their health lifestyle. I just started the Atkins Diet about 2 weeks ago and I have lost about 8 pounds so far. I know it isn't much but I have never been able to lose weight so I am happy it. Anyway I hope to talk to more of you soon and goodluck to everyone with their diets.

Welcome Tammy. Congratulations on making the decision to take control of your life and become healthier. 8 pounds is phenominal. It is 8 pounds less than you weighed 2 weeks ago. It is a beginning to a new you. You are doing great. That is only the beginning. As long as you follow the Atkins Plan - (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002), take supplements, drink water and EXERCISE...then you will soon be melting away and looking fantastic.
