  • Introducng self, not as artistic as yall

Hi, I do not know how to do all the good looking graphic like yall so I will just have to write my stats!
I am a 45yr old mom of 3 kids (14yr,11, and a husband. I am about 5'2 and of course a half inch. I weigh 151 lbs. I have always had to watch my weight and kept in under control but I had surgery a few yrs ago and gain about 40 lbs.I have lost it over the last couple of years but the last 20lbs is going slow. I ahve been doing Atkins for about 2 month but was eating those stuiped Atkins bars and losing slowly. A big 8 pounds. I was walking every day but the past couple of weeks have been crazy and I have not.
I started on Induction again today for a fresh start without bars. I weigh myself way too much and it gives me comfort to see it go down and not up.
My son motivated me by saying very innocently " where you always fat mom"?
I do not want to be a fat anyone. I am a sweet a holic and Atkins saves me from feeling rotten.
Any help will be great. I want to lose this weight before (9/2006) cause my husband and I are going on vacation alone. I want to like me again.
    Thanks for listening, Joni
PS. How do you do the little weight line?

Welcome, Joni! I hope you find all the support and info. you can handle here at ADBB!

Sad, how we have to look a certain way or wear a certain number before we "like" ourselves again, isn't it? I can't criticize; I'm exactly the same way and only recently have been starting to see that "fat lady" in the mirror change shape.

There are a lot of experienced Atkineers around here that can point you in any direction you need; I wish you the best of luck and resolve on your continued quest.

    S.

PS - can't help you on the weight tracker line; I haven't bothered to do mine yet. I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you what's what.

      Hi Joni,
Welcome to the board! Guess it is all where you are coming from, I am 5'2 also and weigh 165 (on good days), can't wait until I hit 151, I will be grinning from ear to ear at that point (haven't been below 160 in about 4 years). I know what you mean though that the weight is high for you. My final goal is to hit a healthy 120-125 lb. (not looking to be stick thin, been there/done that). Good luck with your journey. To get you your ticker for your weight you can go to www.tickerfactory.com and follow the directions there. Once you get that in, and post your stats in your signature up in the "User CP" up top, you can get as fancy as you want.
