Hello everybody, As you can tell I'm new here. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm 24, I've always been chunky, but I by no means have a so called "fat complex". Recently I stepped on a scale at a friends house and was shocked when I saw 250lbs. I'm 5'8'' and my weight should be between 150-175lbs. Needless to say thats why I'm here. So Wish me luck...

Re: Oblivious or Denial
It is certainly funny how the weight sneaks up on us and we are often the last to know how bad it has really gotten until we see the numbers on the scale!!! I was partly oblivious as well and very much in denial. Good job, full life, lots of friends, active in the community, but somehow I was in shock on the day I faced the truth. That was over two years ago and gradually I'm making a difference in my life through Atkins.
Best wishes to you!
When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
