I was on the atkins site and I saw that certain alcohol like tequila & vodka don't have any carbs. So that is what I have been drinking (good old shots, Im only 21!) however, if you take like 5 a night are there any carbs in that. or could that stall weight loss??

Re: Can anyone answer my question?
Sorry to tell you that alcohol delays weight loss, carbs or no carbs. When you drink alcohol the body will burn that as fuel before either carbs or fat. When the alcohol is all burned out it will go back to burning fat (or carbs). That's why alcohol is a no no in induction and when you're at the alcohol rung of OWL you should still take baby steps where alcohol is concerned.
At maintenance, I drink one/one and a half glasses of wine in the evenings. So far so good...but everyone's different. Used to be a big wine drinker, and can't say I wouldn't like more...but... better slim and sober than tipsy and fatsy!!!Before and after:

Re: Can anyone answer my question?
It's not even so much about the lack of carbs in the alcohol.
It's not even so much about the fact that your body will burn the alcohol before it burns anything else (that's why we get drunk. It burns it first.) and with every drink your body stops burning fat.
Alcohol- on average- is about 70 calories an ounce. A standard bar pour is 1.5oz, so about 105 calories per drink.
It ALL adds up to trouble and a bigger butt when not kept in check
