    hi everyone

my name is mike, im 21 and im from new jersey, ive always been big into weight lifting and such, so ive always been a pretty big kit, with just alittle chubb around me, i weigh 222 lbs, my goal weight is 200 lbs. im will be submitting applications for alot of firefighting jobs, and i know they require a physical test, some require you to run 2 miles or something, i go to the gym three to four times a week, i do a half hour of weight lifting and a half hour of cardio (on a bike) and im hoping this diet and excersize will help me get down to my goal weight in two months, then hopefully once i get to that weight, i can keep the weight off.

so many people from these before and after shots look GREAT! congrats to all of them!

Welcome to the board Mike! Glad you decided to give Atkins a go. Think once you get started you will be hooked. Make sure to get hold of a 2002 edition of the Atkins book and give it a good read. Any questions post them and someone will be along to answer them. Good luck! And good luck with the firefighting apps also. My husband, father and brother are all firefighters.

Welcome to our ADBB family, Mike!

It sounds as if you are already on the right track with that exercise
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
