Hello everyone:
I was on the Adkins a few yrs ago and weighted 245 lbs, if I recall correctly. Being only 5'5" is a bit on the Large size. I lost around 20 lbs, got off the diet for some reason and did not gain my weight back. Here I am a few yrs later and decided to go at it again, after seeing 2 of my coworker and what it had done to them. I almost did not recognize them at 90 to 100 lbs thinner.
I have been on it going on 4 weeks now, I know I have lost some weight and try to weigh once a week. The scale I started on was at my friends so I need to get there this weekend to check it out since I have not weighted now in 2 weeks. I basically eat only meat, eggs, and porkrinds. Sometimes something green. I really dont have the site to go to for a definite listing. I drink my water and Dt Rite Cola. have an adkins candy bars once in a while. ( oh yes the candy was very many bars that I had purchased a FEW yrs ago and kept them in a styrofoam container, they are just as good as the first time I bought them on a ridiculous low price.) I do take Lipitor for cholestrol, so I will be getting some blood work done in the future, maybe ever 3 months???
My weight was 222 lbs when I first started so will keep you posted on the new weight. I feel much better, and have so much more energy, makes my job sooooooooo much easier since I am on my feet for 7-8 hrs a day as well as my jobs at the house.
I am sure I am not increasing my carbs and not feeling the need to, just happy in the future of getting on the scale at a weight loss. My short term goal is 200 and later the long term will be 175. After that I will do some refiguering.
Feel free to msg me and give me ideals and if you can tell me where the site is where I can look at specific vegs and such it would be great . I have watermelon once in a while, because I feel I deserve it.
