    Hello everyone
    This is my 1st time trying atkins. This is my 2nd day and so far its going ok. I am a little scared because i love chocolate and i know that i can't have it. That is the only problem so far. I hope that i can meet my goal.

    Hi, welcome to the board. You will find great support while you start your journey to Atkins WOE. Just to allieviate your fear of no chocolate, even in induction you can take a little cream cheese and mix a little baking chocolate into it to give you a chocolate taste. Take it one day at a time. How much are you looking to lose?

      Welcome. We are thrilled to have you join us on our quest to get healthy and fit. I understand your fear of giving up some of the foods that we have grown to love. I had to give up several of my favorite food items when I started this WOE, but it has totally been worth it. I would never go back to the bags of chips and pretzels tha I used to munch on daily. My health has improved so much -- and I look and feel so much better without them.

      It is a life-style change. Instead of spending your time being miserable about chocolate and other things -- investigate the foods in the acceptable foods list. Experiment and educate yourself to appreciate the new foods and what they will do to help you get healthy and fit.

      You are so worth the effort to improve your life and your health. Make a positive effort, make a plan to make it happen. Don;'t let negative thoughts and unhealthy old habits stop you. We are all here to support and encourage you. You can do it!!!

          Hi! I too am a chocaholic! I have been on atkins for 9 days and after the fourth day my craving pretty much disappeared! I am still amazed that my sweet tooth is practically gone already. I used to binge all afternoon on anything sweet and now I just have a induction friendly snack and move on. I don't feel half as hungry as I used to. I hope this is encouranging for you.

            Hi Damierail. Welcome to the ADBB. You'll find lots of support and encouragement around here. You're doing great. Just stick to the plan, take it day by day, and before long the weight will be coming off, you'll be feeling great and chocolate won't be so tempting anymore. Happy Losing!
