Hi everyone! I'm new (relatively!) I've been lurking for the last, oh, 19 days or so! So, I made it through induction and have decided to go into extended induction. Today is day 19. I am happy with the loss I have had, although I really had my hopes up that I would lose a little more during the induction period. I have done everything legally and strictly. No slips, although I went through a few days when I wanted to cave in and get a pizza! But I didn't, it's more important to lose this weight and gain back some self-confidence than to have an instantly gratifying (but harmful) meal.
I had always been athletic and very small, until tragedy hit my family a few years back. I just couldn't handle the pressure and my healthy lifestyle ceased to exist. Needless to say, here I am with 45+ pounds of weight to take off.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what their experience has been with losing a lot of weight... Did I ruin my body? Will I ever be able to wear a bikini again? I know this sounds shallow, I am just worried about stretch marks and if/how I can prevent them.
Thank you all for your support,
Nalia
