  • Day 19 of Induction

Hi everyone! I'm new (relatively!) I've been lurking for the last, oh, 19 days or so! So, I made it through induction and have decided to go into extended induction. Today is day 19. I am happy with the loss I have had, although I really had my hopes up that I would lose a little more during the induction period. I have done everything legally and strictly. No slips, although I went through a few days when I wanted to cave in and get a pizza! But I didn't, it's more important to lose this weight and gain back some self-confidence than to have an instantly gratifying (but harmful) meal.

I had always been athletic and very small, until tragedy hit my family a few years back. I just couldn't handle the pressure and my healthy lifestyle ceased to exist. Needless to say, here I am with 45+ pounds of weight to take off.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what their experience has been with losing a lot of weight... Did I ruin my body? Will I ever be able to wear a bikini again? I know this sounds shallow, I am just worried about stretch marks and if/how I can prevent them.

Thank you all for your support,
    Nalia

    Re: Day 19 of Induction

Congratulations on making through induction, and resisting the urge to cheat!
There's plenty of folks here who have their before, during & afters available, who've been at goal for awhile. Plenty can wear bikinis. I'm sure you can do it too, as you are smart enough to turn this weight gain around before it gets bigger.
