    Hello everyone
I've read the Dr.Atkins' book and here I am. I hope it will work because I tried several diets during the years and in the end I always quit.
I'm on day 3 of Induction now and feeling more tired then usual but I'll keep going!
The main problem is the my bf, even without wanting it, makes it harder since he eats whatever he wants and he is still skinny.
Tomorrow we'll be one year together and he wanted to take me out for dinner, and I would really like it, but I'm worried I would screw up and then everything would be useless.
I want to lose weight. Right now I'm 80 kilos (182 lbs) and I want to lose at least 40 lbs! I'm 5'2'' so every kilo shows
I'm 27 y\o (almost 2 and I want to have a nice life and be happy with myself!

Welcome Roshen and Dawn. Glad you found us here at ADBB. You'll find great support and encouragement here. Make sure to read the book Dawn (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 Edition) and drink lots of water. What are you two doing for exercise 'cause if you're not exercising then you're not doing Atkins right?

          thank you all!
I started doing Pilates, beginners level, about 30 min every day. Sometimes I get tired and I do just 20 min but I'll improve!
This is a major change for me cause I'm usually very lazy when it comes to workout.

If you are serious about Atkins I would not recommend going out for dinner until you have been on it a few weeks. This is because it is easy to slip when faced with temptation. I suggest you spend your anniversary in bed!

              Hi Roshen! Welcome aboard!

I kind of agree with Helena - perhaps postponing the dinner would be a good idea. Otherwise, I would go with the caveat that your boyfriend can absolutely NOT make you feel guilty for ordering Atkins friendly food and not having dessert. I can think of something sweet and fun you guys can do for dessert when you get home - and it's aerobic exercise too!

              We're glad you're here!

Oh, just to add that a piece of cheese would be a legal dessert, of course. But ask for no crackers!

I don't have a problem going out to eat. Almost every restaurant has salad and meat...or steamed vegetables. I think eating out on Atkins is one of the easiest. Welcome aboard!!
