    My name is Marcia and this is my second time on Atkins. I was very successful the first time around. I lost 50 pounds!! So I know by experience that this diet works regardless of what other people say. However, I gained all my weight back due to pregnancy. I recently gave birth a baby boy and now I ready to lose the 50 pounds again plus MORE!!! I've on the diet again for 3 weeks and have lost 9 pounds.

    Since it has been a while since I've been on this diet I have some questions that I hope some of you can help me with:

    1)WHY CAN'T YOU EAT PEANUTS DURING THE INDUCTION PHASE??? SOME DO NOT CONTAIN MANY CARBS

    2)CAN YOU SKIP BREAKFAST AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT ??

    3)WHAT ARE SOME GOOD LOW CARB SNACKS???

    4)CAN OCCASIONALLY DRINING LIQUOR HINDER WEIGHT LOSE??

    I would be so apprective is someone can answer these questions for me!! Thanks

    Welcome Marcymae,

    You are off to a good start. You are asking a questions about the nuts I think you already know the answer to. I hope you are not trying to find a loop hole to this WOE because there isn't one.

    Induction is a sugar detoxing period. A time when you clean your system of all the junk and reset your body to burn fat.

    You have to follow it just the way Dr. Atkins indicates or your results will be minimal or none at all.

    You have done this once before so don't cheat your body. Do it right again and you'll be happy you did.

    Some of the other members might want to give you some other tips to finish your list of questions.
