  • Back for another try

    Greetings low carbers!

Today is the first day of my second try at this way of life. The first time was actually a big sucess (lost 37 lbs in 10 weeks but got injured, had surgery, stopped exercising, and over three years time put it all back on). Last week I stepped on a talking scale and it said, "Hey, one at time please!"

    So here I am.

I'm a 48 y/o male living in Damascus, Maryland. Been married for 21 years, no kids but have two very spoiled dogs. My wife is beginning today too, on her second try. She's lost 20 pounds on Weight Watchers over the last year but as Dr. Atkins says, she was always hungry. Three years ago she lost 25 lbs low carbing but got bored with the diet. The problem was we never read the book past chapter 11 (induction) so we never really learned the Atkins way of life.

I'm a little pessimistic this time as I changed my eating habits weeks ago to a low carb diet with little to no results, but never really went onto something as strict as induction so I'm hoping for the best.

I'd better get back to work before I get fired. Have a great day y'all!

    Bob
