Today was my first day of a great new lifestyle.
Whew!!! I made it through today! I am very excited to be changing my way of eating from unhealthy to healthy. I need all the support I can get from the board to lose the amount of weight I need to lose. Last year, I was put on Phentermine by my doctor, and saw amazing results (30 pounds in less than two months). However, it did not stay off because I chose to go back to my unhealthy way of eating. I am determined to stick this one through and give it my best shot. It is so encouraging to see everyone on this board receive amazing results from such hard work and dedication. I want to wish the best of luck to all future and current lifestyle changers!

Re: Wish me luck...
Welcome. I'm very proud of you for making the committment to change your life. When we go into this new life-style, it can be a scary thought. Some words of advice that I'd like to give you is to make a plan for succeeding. Just as you would if you made a map to go on vacation. Take your weight, measurements, and goals and put them into a journal so you can keep track of them. Then, lay out the plans for you to make it happen. This will include menus, recipes, exercise routines, WHAT TO DO plans if you are invited to a party..dinner invitation..amusement park...whatever the occassion...have a plan on how to get through the day without cheating. Remember that temptation will always be there, but you can make alternate plans to get through the storm. Believe in yourself. Make your journey to health #1 in your life. You can do it. Having the support of the people here in the ADBB makes your journey much easier. You don't have to do it alone. You don't have to be miserable and feel deprived. Make friends and stay active. You will soon see the inches and pounds melting away!!! Best wishesStarting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.

Re: Wish me luck...
Thanks for all the warm greetings! I successfully made it through my second day. Yah for me! Only 90 more years to go!
It wasn't too hard today. I have even included exercise *WOW*! I walked/jog a mile yesterday. I did the mile again today plus 10 sit ups. I know it is not a lot, but it is a heck of a lot more than I am use to. Tomorrow, I may add in the 10 minute Tae Bo workout. We'll see...

Re: Wish me luck...
I am not doing too bad. I slacked on drinking my H2O today.Hey Jessi, how are you doing today. Have a great weekend.
Shame, shame, shame. BUT... I am going to exercise in about five minutes (walk/jog). Tomorrow I start my part time job over as a server (I work full time with the state). Hopefully I will get even more exercise. I hope you have a good weekend too!
