    Yes, I have just finnished reading the book and I am going to start tomorow.
    I am 5'9, and I weight 187.

    I need to be 132, that was what my doctor had told me when he calculated my fat body mass and stuff... I don't have a deadline time to do this, I just want to do it and be healthy and looking good.

    I am kind of afraid, but I promised myself that as soon as I reached my goal, I would make a beautiful tattoo of my symbol and mystic anymal ( phoenix - fenix ) , with the words "reborn from ashes" .

    I can't wait to get there, please be gentle and give me advices.

    Welcome. Glad that you've decided to take control of your weight and get healthy. We are all here doing this together...giving encouragment and lots of cyber hugs as we change our life-styles to become healthy and fit.

    There's nothing to be afraid of. You read the book so you know how the program works. Make a plan on foods you will eat, exercises you will do and how you will stay on the program when others tempt you (family, friends, parties, vacations, barbecues,..etc.) Take your weight and measurements about once a month so you can see that you are losing inches and pounds. It will keep you motivated.

    You can start a journal here in the ADBB or a private one at home. Keeping active here in the ADBB and making friends with the members here is what has kept me on track and taught me to change my ways. There are challenges here that you can participate in that will also keep you active and aware of your progress. This is the best support group I've found. We are thrilled to have you join us!!         Welcome to the boards! The best advice that I can give is... seriously give Atkins a chance. After the first month or so, you will notice a rapid weight loss. That was my motivation to stick with Atkins. Every time I attempted Atkins before, I cheated or gave up too soon. Oh yeah....don't be discouraged if you get stuck at a certain weight for a while. My weight loss tends to get hung at a weight for a week, and then in one day, I might lose 3 lbs. Don't be discouraged.

            welcome to ADBB! The best advice I can give you is to stick to the plan and make your menus EXCITING. If what you are eating is better than what everyone else around you is having, you just can't go wrong!
