Yep... it's the peculiar way we Brits talk about a person's weight!
that is so odd (to me) seems a stone should be a "round" number of 10
lol..
i love all the king queen stuff, just read up on queen victoria, 1814 ?-1901
i loved it
in her era you were to be plump as she was, she often critisized those around her for being "too thin" and she morn for the loss of her husband for 10 long years...
today i am 50 years young, it is my birthday and i am so proud i am not 304 or 225 or even 150
i weighed in at 142 on my 50 birthday, my gift to me

omg this is not easy.... i relasped.... not on sugar but bread, up 10 pounds... it is sooooooooooooooooo hard to get back on track... a heads up to all of you... maintaince is horrid....i am up from a size 8 to 11 from 139 to 150
i have tried and tried to do induction over and over the last month......
any words of wisdon appreciated
Sorry to hear that HarleyLady. I sometimes think maintenance is harder than the losing part of Atkins.
My weight rose a little too, after the Christmas hols. Was hard to get it down again. Didn't go to induction, rather just cut carbs a bit and a few treats that had become too regular: that glass of red wine in the evenings... a little too much cheese...etc. That brought my cals down too and eventually the weight came off again (but it took around six weeks!).
After the first three days it wasn't too hard anymore... I just slipped into a new pattern. Maybe you don't need to go back to induction, just drop the carbs a bit. I reckon induction is for real emergencies. Am always terrified it might stop working... so I sort of "save it"!!
Sorry... am rambling... just thinking aloud. Glad you've decided to get back on track!

Wow what a story! I'm really sorry to hear that you are struggling. I only lost focus for about a month and a half, and it has really really been hard to stay on target. But with the help of the Second Time Around Forum, it has been much easier. Here it is Day 8 and I've lost 9 pounds..please post with us over there and we'll try to give you support and motivation!
You can do it!

hey everyone...
things are really great... i am maintianing my weight loss and wear 8-10 pants...
i tell you what..... loosing is EASY... compaired to maintaining... maintaining is
a #itch..... it is hard, really hard to add back carbs without wanting more and craving all the time, when iwas on low carbing not eating carbs it was so easy because i did not crave.... the less carbs i have the less i crave... it is wicked
but i am struggling daily to keep my weigh loss between 10 bounds of 139
Well... yes, maintaining is definitely a skill that takes some learning, but you do find a comfortable zone after a while. It just takes a little persevering and is soooo worth it!!
