I am a 36 year old mom of two boys! This is my second go at the Atkins Diet. The first time was when I had my now 5 year old son & I lost 40 lbs. After going back to carbs, I gained back 30 lbs. (I was disgusted when I got on the scale and it said I was over 160 again). Anyway, I now know it is a lifestyle and not an option, or simply a quick fix. My goal weight is 125-130. I'm 5'6", so that should be about right.
I began induction 3 wks. ago Thursday. To date, I've lost 13 lbs. I fit into a smaller pair of jeans already & can't wait to lose the additional 17-22 lbs. I screwed up a few times already by eating peanuts and drinking wine - forgot I can't do those things during induction until finding this site yesterday! Oops! Just think where I could be if I didn't screw it up! Anyway, doing another week of induction without those things to see if it speeds things up.
My ketostix are showing positive results daily - although the results are slighter now than when I drank red wine! lol.
I wish everybody the best on this diet and hope to meet some new friends!

...Was in HEAVEN -got to 150, for awhile, then got too busy, and gave in too much... and... OK holding pattern "keep it together..."
