  • I'm a newbee

    Hi everyone,

My name is Charlotte and I have done Atkins on and off for a long time. The reason I have yo-yoed so much is that I am a classic carb addict. That's why I found you guys. I need some advice. Although Atkins has worked for me at times I have come across a stumbling block. Because I've gone back and forth so many times on Atkins, I don't think my body is taking me seriously anymore. I've been In induction since June 14th and I've only lost 11 lbs. I check for ketones everyday and I'm in a good range. I've been doing fat burn and/or cardio on my treadmill about 5 times a week and still no change. Any advice to help would be greatly apprieciated.

I look forward to getting to know you guys.

    Take Care,
    Charlotte

Welcome to the board, Charlotte. You've found the place to do Atkins right this time. Ask yourself exactly what you did before, from start to finish, each time you "did Atkins". Write it down (here is fine). After each finish, how did you eat? How did you exercise?
... Do you see a pattern?
Now get a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002), read well and study the stickies for the different Atkins phases in the ADBB. Ask questions, recieve answers!

By the way, congratulations - 11 pounds is just fine - you don't want to lose too fast!
