  • Hi!

    Hi All,
Here's my background: I have been lowcarbing for two years. That being said, I started with South Beach then moved to Somersizing then some tweeking of my own. My husband lost 60+pounds and I less than 20. I never gave up wine. I also baked alot of desserts(low carb). We are going away for a few days this weekend and when we get home I would like to go on induction. I haven't done Atkins before. I have one month before school starts (went back to school at 40), and would like to have my weight loss start in place. My husband is 100% behind, said he wouldn't mind loosing another ten pounds. So I apologize in advance if I ask too many questions, I am one of those people who has to research everything to death!

    Thanks,
    Dawn

      Re: Hi!

Welcome to the boards. Personally, I found South beach too much of a "diet". I mean, tomato juice and an egg white for breakfast? Blah. And Sommersizing is based on not combining foods that all other glycemic studies say SHOULD be combined for best results. But both do focus on reducing the amount of starchy carbs we eat so that's good. Which means it should be very easy for you to adjust to the yummy foods you get on Atkins. Have you read the book?
