    Here we go
    Don't really know where to start, but here I go
    I have always done well with the atkins way of life. I have been on and off the diet for years, but never really went through all the phases. I went from induction to eating tons of carbs. Even with all that I still managed to lose over 25 lbs
    I am committed now to doing it the right way
    My plan is to stay on induction for at least a month and slowly add in carbs
    I need to cut out caffeinated coffee and diet soda as well
    I have had GI issues and cholesterol problems. My cholesterol was so high I was put on lipitor which is what got me off atkins most recently. My doc put me on a lower cholesterol diet and both my cholesterol and weight increased

    My first goal is to get rid of my cravings. I am good all day and eat tons of crap at night. I also need to get back to the gym
    I need to get below 200 lbs before the end of the year. I am currently about 225, which is better than the 250 I started at

    I am glad your going to give atkins a try again! I hope atkins will work for me. I too have high cholesterol. I dont know how i am going to make it all work. katika

      Congrats and welcome!!

      25 pounds by the end of the year shouldn't be a problem!! I've lost 50 in just over 3 months!! Read your book, and USE these forums as a valuable resource. The answers are all here!!

      Good Luck!! Start drinking lots and lots of water.....believe me you'll be so happy you did!!

        Water...will do. I used to drink diet soda and coffee previously
        I am committed to just a few cups of decaf a day

          I am doing well
          Just re-read DANDR and realized the importance of no aspartame or caffeine
          I will cut both out tomorrow
          Some positive news-no GI issues at all
          Also will try to cut out most dairy, other than a little half in half in my morning decaff coffee
          I am not eating nearly enough veggies or drinking enough water
          The problem is I drive all day and the water practically boils in my car, so I drink mostly at night
