    Re: Serious Depression!

You are SO RIGHT! I am worth it! There is no reason why I should be embarrased to say no to food that I know will kick me off of my plan! The whip topping is a great idea!

    Thanks!

Also, those other attempts at Atkins was practice for the real thing. This time is going to be the real thing. LOL

        Re: Serious Depression!

        I hear ya!

And everytime you do 'officially' start you really believe it, but you know what? I bet your friends and family don't! When I started this time round - the extra push came from my husband. I really believe it takes an extra push that gets you past the stage where we have all been numerous times before ( when we know we should / have to / must lose weight - but don't!) The 'push' is changing should/have to/ must into WANT to!
My push came when I told my husband - "this is it - I'm going to do this time" "No really I am" and said - " No don't because I can't bear your 'depressed' mood when you fail." He then listed the number of diets and times when I had said "this time" you know.. holidays, Christmas, weddings etc. Some of the times he could still remeber what I has eaten that made be 'fall off the wagon so to speak" He begged me "do it once more or never do it again! "

Then it became a WOE not a diet.

Like the person listed above I can't find the pictures for weight loss records..

But in 7 months I'm down 60lbs and ONLY 15lbs to go!!!

        Decide - and do it

        Good Luck!

          Re: Serious Depression!

          Sframe,

Welcome to the board. You can do this. If you're like me, you just reached a point in your life that you say 'enough is enough'. I am tired of living this way, looking this way, yada yada yada.

There are so many wonderful things that you can put into your body!! I can not believe how easy this plan is. BBQ's (deviled eggs, cole slaw, burgers, steaks, chops, blue cheese, shrimp, salad, fake potato salad with cauliflower) endless.

As far as someone offering cake, just say, no thanks, I'm on a low carb lifestyle, I'm really not interested. Some people may gasp, some people say how much have you lost, some people just smile and say sure you are, some people say just have one little bite it won't kill you, but I say.....no thank you.

Good Luck, we're all here for the same reason. We offer help where we can, but the real committment has to come from YOU! Just look at all of the wonderful before and after pictures, all you have to do is say, that will be me!!! I do it everyday. So far, it's been working pretty good. I've had no backsliding, no cheating, I still tend to overeat a little, but at least I'm overeating good carbs, veggie carbs, a oz or 2 more of that turkey or chicken, but it is working well for me.

These folks here will help where they can. Read all the forums. Check out the low carb recipes, take charge of your life, and make the changes you need to succeed!! Oh yes, and drinks water, water, water, water.....that is the one key you must do to make this succeed!!

          Good Luck, chin up!!
