  • Looking my original self...

I am attempting Atkins once again. I am not happy with the way I look or feel. I have a closet full of clothes that I can not wear due to the 85 extra pounds that has attached itself to me. I am embarrassed to wear shorts and have my upper arms exposed. I was 136 lbs. (9 years ago) then I was blessed with three children and with each pregnancy I packed on the pounds. I'm really not worried about how many pounds I loose I just want to be able to look at my reflection in the mirror and not cringe. Shopping for clothes is a headache due to my size. I'm starting the induction phase today along with an exercise plan to help boost my body transformation. Please send good thoughts my way.

I also stared induction today. I wish you the best of luck. I'm doing Atkins for the second time around. Really gonna try and stick with it this time. I've got about 35 lbs to loose. My husband is also doing this with me so that helps.

I wish you the best, Misslili -- you CAN do this. I'm only on day 10 of induction, and with each day, I feel like I'm gaining more and strength to stick with it. And, my hunger has subsided tremendously (and this is from someone who typically is ALWAYS hungry!).

My husband is also doing it with me, as is my mom-in-law who lives with (and often cooks for) us. They are doing low-carb rather than Atkins, but still, I'll take the support anyway I can get it.

Keep up the good work and stay focused. And if you feel yourself wavering, come here -- it's great motivation and support!
