    Welcome. Glad you found us and joined. I would love to hear about the foods that you have in South Africa and the dishes you cook. We have some great cooks on this board and we are always looking for new ideas and menu suggestions.
    What exercise are you planning. I walk, hike and water arobics
    Start a journal, its fun and you'll make lots of new friends.
    Join a challenge, there are tons going on now and they are also fun.
    The Second Time Around Club is always looking for new members, so come join us.

        Welcome! You seem to be a cheerful and positive gal, I hope you enjoy your visits to ADBB. One thing though, you might be interested to know, Atkins actually isn't a high protein plan, but a high fat, medium protein plan. Just FYI. Welcome, again!

            What are your rewards for your mini goals? It always help to motivate me to know that when I reach a goal I will get a manicure, pedicure, etc.

                What I say is GO GIRL and hope you are still losing. I'm in your hemispehere and in your age bracket and a second timer.

                Tonight i just went to a party at some friend's house wher I usually eat too much. Like you I ate the greeen salad and grilled BBQ meats and told myself to just get on with it!

                    Hi aint2late! Welcome to the board! Sounds like you're in this for all the right reasons. The more you read around, the more you will understand this WOE! I would suggest you start up a journal for yourself over at Journal Chats! There are lots of great people over there, with lots of information and encouragement!

                        Hiya, welcome back! You might want to check out the Second Time Around forum - we have a little community of people who've done this before and are back for another go at it. We check in every day with updates and the like, it's a great place!
