So, I'm 23 years old. I'm trying atkins for the third time. It worked the first two times I did it, but i did it wrong. I thought that i would just stay in induction for a really really long period of time (6 months)..to lose the maximum amount of weight possible. By not transitioning out of it and moving onto OWL, I got sick of the strictness of induction and crashed. This time I'm going to do it right.
My starting weight is 184. 10 pounds heavier than I've ever been in my whole life. So my SW is also my HW. I belong to a gym and have been going daily for the past week. I try to work out for at least an hour. My overall goal is a minimum of a mile on the treadmill daily, although recently I've been doing quite a bit more.
I'm not going to weigh myself for two months...the scale is discouraging when it doesn't move. Also, by choosing not to weigh myself for two months, that means I'm comitting myself to at least two months...I can't quit before that, I'd have no reason to.
Also, if i wait two months, i think the scale will have moved enough to motivate me more.
The hardest part for me, is this is a complete lifestyle change, i went from eating whatever is around when im hungry, drinking heavy amounts of beer daily, smoking cigarettes daily, and not working out, to...
no smoking
no drinking
daily workouts
20 carbs or less
10 glasses of water daily
I'm happy to have this bulletin board available to me for support, and I appreciate everyone out there who is willing to provide some, and I hope to provide support in return
thanks,
