  • Puppy says Hi!

    Hi

This is my second time around on Atkins.

Im from Scotland, um.. 24 years old and a PCOS sufferer. I have to lose this weight. Ive tried weight watchers, and detoxing, They all work BUT im constantly hungry and that seems to be my downfall.

This will work for me! I just have to keep in there.

I've been lurking a few weeks now and am now into week 4 of the WOE. 10lbs off and a stall and what looks so far to be a gain, Im trying hard to stay focused and know that this WILL resolve itself an a few weeks. I know its working, I can get my trousers up and down without unbuttoning them so I KNOW its having some effect, I just need to stop being such a scales slave.

What else....? Got married in June and I am ashamed of my wedding ics, they show me at my heaviest of 15st 7lbs. I hang my head,

But here goes, in for the long run and I look foward to "talking" to you all soon.,
    210/200/140

    Lost 10lbs during induction
    3rd week - Stall
    4th week - 4lbs gain

Need to keep going. PCOS sufferer

Welcome to the site, and I am glad to decided to stop lurking and join the conversation. The post induction stall is a common experience as the body adjusts, but it will normally pick up in week four again. If it doesn't make sure you stop by the Review my Menu forums if needed.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say welcome and glad you are here.

        Welcome to the board Puppy!

I think you will find the support here to be quite helpful on your Atkins journey. My first stall in pounds came in week 3 and lasted a month so be sure that yours will end as well. Take your measurements. Your inches lost will often be going down even though there is no change on the scale.

Your measuring tape can be your life saving friend when the chips seem down because the numbers on the scale arent.

welcome to ADBB and to Atkins.

you can relax it is very very typical to have a hesitation in weight loss in the weeks right after induction 14 days loss. I call it the post induction weight loss hessitation since it is only a hesitation in scale loss and not a stall, but others call ir P I S S for post induction stall syndrone.

If you haven't measured make friends with your tape measure and watch the inches of fat being shed as you morph your body working your Atkins.

SO what you doing for the mandatory exerics part of the plan? We got several open enrollment ongoing exerciose challenges you are welcome to join.

I read your post in the PCOS forum. I'm sure you know as your hormone levels change your metabolism and weight loss will fluctuate but with time you will get the insulin levels lower and the androgen will be processed to estrogen and that aspect of your PCOS will be in control.

          happy low carbing.
