    Do I have to follow the diet to a "T" or can I eat spinach and turkey bacon all day ( I really like this). I eat no carbs and I exercise. I have lost some weight but I dont know if its because I'm low carb or low fat/calorie dieting. (I only exercise for 20 mins 6 days per week.

    welcome to the atkins diet bulletin board! follow it to a "T"? if you want the best results with the best advice the answer would be "yes". we follow the 2002 edition of the book.

      welcome to ADBB sincve we are an Atkins board nobody csan give you permission to change Dr Atkins plan. Dr atkins said any plan where your total cals in was less then your total cals burned from all sources wopuld result in weight loss so if you want to create your own plan you can but you will be the lab rat and the scientist all in one and better have some supplementation going on.

      Atkins is about learning what your body will and won't be able to tolerate in the way of food and total carbs through a learning process with Atkinseers getting healtheir and smaller practicing doing just that.
