  • Ms. SelfSabotage

Hello my name is Selfsabotage and i am addicted to ignoring myself, easy, convenient things, and so forth.

I am sure many people have been where i am today, where their mind and body seem to disconnect and no matter how much your mind screams at you to stop, your body just doesn't listen. My mother always wanted me to have a daughter exactly like me lol instead i got a body, my mind tells it one thing and it just goes off and does what it wants. I know it sounds strange but it seems like i am disconnected at times, like its someone else who is eating what i know i should not be. Which mean i need to discover what is causing this as well as sticking to the plan fully and strictly because i know it works, i have done it before and as this website is proof of it works.

So i am here to get support, lend support, and get to know people. I need something, i have been offered $1000, trip to Jamaica, new clothes, spa treatments etc to get this weight off me, i go shopping and love the cute clothes i use to look so good in.

My biggest issue is not being prepared, not so much as not having anything when i am out and about, but my demon is my house. I don't cook very welll and i don't care for leftovers lol, and well i am usually exhausted when i get home so this all combines into ording a pizza a good 4-5 times a week. i LOVE LOVE pizza lol..

i have had a devil machine in my house since January and have yet to use it.

So that is a lil about me. Right now i weight 285 lbs. I would love to get down to 165 but my first and only goal right now is sticking to the plan for more than a week and dedicating myself back to it and water, and seeing 269 in the near future.

Hi Sher. Yep, we are all our own worst enemies when it comes to taking care of ourselves and making positive things happen. I spent most of my life fat and unhappy. What I've learned in the past two years since I've been doing Atkins has changed my life. I started out just wanting to lose weight.

I learned to make plans and follow through. I was 285 pounds when I started and through careful planning I've learned how to eat, the importance of exercise, and to quit making excuses for my weaknesses. The first step is to read the book, Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, edition 2002. Make your own life-plan for success. Do a clean induction to help your body start burning fat. It also helps to stop the cravings and curb your appetite.

Take your measurements so that you can see the inches melt away as you drop pounds. Write out what you are doing to sabotage yourself and make solutions to stop the cycle. Get serious about making it happen.

You are not alone. Everyone here is helpful and wants to see you succeed. Following the program as Dr. Atkins devised it is essential to making it happen. Eating right, exercising, drinking water and taking supplements is what makes the program work. It helps you to lose weight and feel good. As you feel great, you won't get frustrated and lose sight of your goal.

Best wishes!!! You can do it.

      Hi Sher!

I do know what you're saying, looking back I felt like that when I was at my heaviest. Worse, at that time a large part of me didn't care. I do care now! I'm very new at the entire Atkins WOL & WOE. I think I've been on every other diet in the world before this one. For the first time I actually feel GOOD on a diet, and it's working!!! I also know where there's a will there's a way! If you really want to change yourself you will! Good luck!

        Re: Ms. SelfSabotage

I'm just reiterating what Shannon and Dreamof have said. I have sabotaged myself a hundred times but now at 330 pounds the time for all that has ended. No more excuses, no more self-hatred.

YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED RIGHT!
        SO TREAT YOURSELF RIGHT!

        Good luck

          Re: Ms. SelfSabotage

Thanks for the posts. The first time i did this it wasn't a struggle at all, but that was a couple years ago, now, it seems all i do to stay on plan. This way of eating works, but there has to be persistence and dedication. As always its all in the planning, when i have it available, i do it correctly, its when the planning falls through so do i.

          Thansk for the messages,
