  • The Beginning of the New Me

I've peeked into this site and a couple other low carb sites looking for someplace to seek advice and support. This is my choice and it looks like a great place.

I'm only 5'1" and have a long way to go since sadly I'm at my highest weight ever.

Hopefully I'll get the hang of all this soon. I love all the little counters on your signatures.

Looking forward to getting on the way to a new me.

Welcome. You've come to the right place for support and motivation. The ADBB is a source of information, inspiration and encouragment. Have you read the book? Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002? The doctor explains how it works, why and what to do to make it happen. It helps if you understand the program.

There are many fourms in the ADBB that I'm sure you'll find interesting. Being active in the ADBB was one of the most important things for me. I made friends to share my journey with, gained knowledge and participated in challenges. Knowing you aren't doing this alone is a big boost to your morale and increases your desire to change your bad habits into healthy ones.

You can do this. We are all working together to make it happen!

Glad you chose to join with us, firegem! This place has been a Godsend to me, since before I found ADBB, I'd been yo-yo dieting my way from 145 pounds all the way up to 222! Unfortunately, I didn't realise then what I know now from these threads and the DANDR 2002 edition, which makes all the differnce. I've enjoyed Atkins dieting and using the Board for over 6 months now, lost 40 pounds so far, gained self-esteem, and lost some aches and pains along the way. I feel great and much healthier than I did in 2/2006.

      Hope you will soon, too!

Re: The Beginning of the New Me

Thank you for the welcome, ladies. Today is my first day and I'm pretty excited. I do have the book, have had for some time. But I must confess to only skimming through it. Now I'm actually reading it, but I have to say that some of the threads here are a lot less confusing and easier to understand. But I'll finish the book as well.

        EDIT
