    Hello everyone

I decided to finally make a post on here because my mother was harassing me
, but I know that she was only doing it for my own good...so thanks mama..if u dont know, im the DD(I guess that's my title ) of the lovely floydgirl!

I`m 20 years old, and I work in a level 1 trauma hospital...I absolutely love it, plus it gave me some guidance to what kind of career I really wanted to persue. When I`m not working or at school I love to go clubbing and visit NYC...I consider it a second home kinda because out of anywhere else I would rather be there! The reason I started this diet is because I am going to be going to Miami in March for my 21st birthday and I want to be a hottie

I started this diet 2 days ago, making this day 3 and I have to say i am honestly impressed that I have stuck to it this long! I freaken love food! It's better then sex (sorry mama), like honestly if I had to pick food over getting some, I'd stick with that butter pecan ice cream! So, this is going to be a terrible struggle for me! I`m already tired of tuna fish...sooo I need some suggestions..I need easy things to pack for lunch and dinner, because when I get out of class all i want to do is eat and i work 3rd shift so i need to pack something for dinner there as well.

Anyways, I`ll be lurking around here from day to day so if you want to drop a line or just say wuzza...feel free to do so..other then that...happy dieting

Welcome to ADBB Ranita, your momma is lovely, isn't she?

I get kinda sick of tuna pretty quick. However, easy is the name of the game for you these days. I found at Target some insulated lunch bags that actually look like little purses...that might work for you for school. Check out canned chicken, canned salmon, etc. instead of the tuna. Buy a roasted chicken from the grocery store and pick off all the meat and put into baggies for quick out the door food. Target also has some great garlic pickles that are small and can be put in baggies for a quick grab. I buy at Sams Club individual packets of cream cheese in 1 oz packets. Those are handy. Cucumber, celery, other veggie spears. Hamburger patties are easy to grab and keep in a cooler and then go to school with.

Welcome to the world of Atkins.

I am new to this too, but foremost drink water first whenever you get hungry. I find that sometimes I think I am hungry but it goes away quickly when I drink some "High Quality H2O" actually just plain tap does the same.

As far as dinner and lunch go. Staples for me inluded grilling brat (check the carbs) the night before and slicing them up. Then warm them up in the microwave the next day. They don't seem to get the funny taste that hamburger and other mets do in the Nuke machine.

I used to always make my meals out of a box or a bag before I started this. Now I find it alot of fun to make and try the recipes that are located on the ADBB. Pick something out and make extra and have for lunch the next day.

Thanks for ideas love! I depend on my mom as sad as that sounds...she cooks a lot of meats and i just grab that. I'm really digging the roasted chicken idea...i could go for some of that!

As for water, this has been my main struggle...i use to be addicted to mountain dew and turkey hill ice tea...soooo im really trying to get use to drinking water..its killing me, but i know it will benefit me in the end!

Thanks for all the suggestions though

              Thats what Moms are for!

And she gave good advise when she haraaaaa ...... err ...... suggested that you come here. She's one smart Mom.

I got pretty sick of tuna and its been almost a year since I had any until recently. Canned chicken is a staple for me. As long as you have little cooler to go, you can pack what ever it is you like to eat on this plan. I have lunch packed for work tomorrow already.... a bowl with 2 compartments. One side is shrimp and the other is cocktail sauce to dip it in. Flax muffins, cream cheese & celery, a bag of caesar salad n dressing is quick.

                      Welcome to the ADBB.

Moms are the greatest aren't they! I know my mom would kick my butt if I didn't listen to her suggestions. Plus she has a badge and gun so I am real scared.

I find that most women find that they are themself's not hotties or anything. But I always find myself asking... Who are they trying to impress? Themself? I never understood women. Anyway, Just glad your doing this to help improve on your health. In the end you will not only look like the hottie you want to be but also be healthy.
