Hi Everyone! I'm new to this board.
I'm on day 1: The Induction Phase.
I decided to begin the Atkins program after gaining 20 pounds in the past year. I've always been known as the "skinny" girl, but after struggling through my last year of college and a really bad relationship I lost my focus.
Currently, I'm weighing in around 165 and a size 12. To most people this does seem bad, but I feel comfortable at 145 pounds or less. When I began college, I weighed 125 pounds and was a size 5/6). Originally, I was comfortable putting on the extra pounds. I thought to myself most people gain the "freshman 15", I'm doing pretty good to only gain 20 pounds in 3 years.
Not anymore! I want to get control of my weight. I feel tired all of time. Also, I'm embarassed when I run into old friends from school. I get that "what in the world happened to you" look.
I named my journal back 2 basics because I want to change my focus back to myself. Getting healthy and feeling good about myself is really important to me. I've focused on everyone else for so long, that now it's time I return that energy to myself.

Size: 12
Goal Weight: 125-135
Size: 6-8
1st Goal: 159 ( I want to get back into the 150s!)
