Hello, I am new to the Atkins Diet, although I have often heard about it (in the media) and am pleased I stumbled across this forum a few weeks ago. I thought I had better introduce myself.
I have been the eternal yo-yo dieter pretty much my whole life from the age of 10. You know how it is. Teenage dieting. Then later, move out of home, eat healthy meals by yourself, hit the gym, look and feel fantastic for a couple of years. Meet your future husband, get married and start cooking him 'big dinners' and eat them also. Then have children and put on even more pounds. lose some, gain more, lose some gain more. I have been all the way up to 308lbs at one stage and have also had the very real pleasure of weighing 141 lbs for years. My poor body, I want to get back to the 140's
I know I will probably have some questions as time marches on, that aren't answered in the book. I only started induction last week, but am feeling pretty good. Hope to meet some friendly people, and from what I have read so far, I'm sure that will be easy.
