  • Sorta Kinda New

    Hi Everyone,

I have been around before and registered quite awhile ago. Basically, I have made half-hearted attempts at this "Atkins Thing" for 3 years now. I would go back and forth from Atkins to South Beach to Weight Watchers, maybe losing a pound or two, but never keeping it off and in fact, gaining weight. One of the reasons I failed was because I always viewed cheating as OK. What has begun to turn it around for me has been health issues and age. I turned 41 this year and have been fighting a battle with diabetes that recently kicked my fanny.
I am looking forward to the success of this WOL and am glad for this board being strict. I don't need support to cheat and sabotage myself. So needless to say, all support to stay strict to the plan is appreciated and welcome!

Hello and good luck. I recently came back myself. Funny how we all know it will work but still fall off the wagon anyway.

      Welcome!

One thing is to be committed...don't swap around from plan to plan, but stay focused on one.

Something else that seems to be helpful is to come to the ADBB every day. If you hit a snag, post and let us help you through it. You can make your goal and next year at this time you'll be so glad you did.

I'm happy that you decided to join us! If you have any questions, please post and you have a whole Atkins family that is here to help.
