  • Hello There!

Hi Bekra ( Rebecca) here! I am a 37 year old woman from Swindon, England. By day I am an HR Manager for a Civil Engineering Company and the rest of the time I am mum to my 16 month old son Callum and wife to husband Tim.

My weight has always fluctuated and I have an horrendous sugar addiction which means in order to succeed in this I have to stay away from the sweet stuff ( even the substitutes) as before I know it I'm in the local shop buying bars and bars of chocolate!

I was successful on Atkins in 2003 and maintained my weight until at the age of 35 I got pregnant with Callum. He is wonderful but my body never really returned to how it was before and my eating habits have gone all over the place ! I also got diagnosed with PND and spent 9 months on meds which wasn't helpful for the weight loss. I am now med free and desperate to feel healthy again. Have been on induction for 7 days , no idea how much I have or haven't lost as only weighing myself once a week , clothes don't feel any different but I already have so much more energy

I am going to need loads of support so expect to hear a lot from me, especially around the 4 week mark when I usually stall big time !

    Thank you for being here

    Love
    BEKRA

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

It sounds as if you already have a good grasp of the WOE so I am sure you will soon be a big loser
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
