I did Atkin back in 2003 and lost 50 pounds. Once I got to goal, I got pregnant. Stupid me used this as an excuse to not low carb, so I gained everything back, and then some. I'm looking to lose 80 pounds all together. I've lost 10 since October 1. I am completely and totally back on this wagon, and I'm really excited to do it again. I love to cook and experiment with low carb recipes. I'm not a big fan of shakes and bars, and I try to eat natural foods. My main processed food is cream cheese. Other than that, I'm fairly straight and narrow.
This time around, I'm exercising. I didn't the first time because I was a smoker and couldn't walk a mile without my lungs screaming. I quit 2.5 years ago, and it makes working out so much easier!!! I'm actually looking forward to my workouts every day.
Also, I'm drinking more water this time. I hated water. I've been drinking a gallon a day, and I'm quite proud of myself for doing so, since I am such a soft drink addict. So now, my rule is, no pop until my gallon is gone.
So, that's me in a low carb nutshell.
