  • new to board and clueless

Hi - I am new to this board and clueless as to how it works ! It has only taken me about 15 minutes to figure this first part out! Anyway, not new to Atkins, but starting again after new baby - he is one, so not so new! I do not have far to goal (about 15 lbs) having lost 8 during Induction, but my metabolism is sooo slow, even with exercise, so it will take a while - I am happy to have found this board as it is a great source of inspiration and motivation ! Thank you for being here !!

Hi Lizzie! So you have the book and know the rules for induction? As far as the board goes, you'll get the hang of it soon enough. It's a bit daunting at first, but I think you'll find lots of supportive people and plenty of information too!

    Congrats on the baby too!

welcome to ADBB and back to Atkins. COngrats on your new little boy.

losing 8 pounds in induction with only a total of 23 to start with is pretty high metabolism and low metabolic resistance.

what you doing for your exercise part of your Atkins? come to the exercise challenge forum and join any of our open enrollment ongoing challneges for some fun doing that mandatory part of our Atkins.

Re: new to board and clueless

thank you all so much ! I am very excited about this and hope to learn more as I go along - exercise is iffy for me because of time factors and baby still not sleeping at night (he has reflux and wakes up four-five times a night !) so, I try to do cardio and weights 3-4 times/week, or yoga, or pilates ... something ! because I know it's a key part to making it last !!!
