Hi everyone, im starting over tomorrow with induction, and im not going to lie im having some serious anxiety here, scared am i going to do it right. I need a good kick in the butt because i have been here before but did not stick with it and tried everything under the sun including south beach to say it would work but it did not, so here i am and im not expecting to lose like i did the first time around since i have been yo yo dieting for the last 3yrs but i dont care as long as i lose. I did not do it right the first time or second time around as far as counting my carbs but im going to do that this time, i also already know i cannot tolerate cheese that much since the last time i did this i had to do a more clean version and cheese was something i gave up and my weight loss kicked in and my bloatness went away, so i already know to stay away from that. I dont know why im so scared but i am i know that is so silly but i want to do this so bad and for the last month i have been working my butt off and trying to eat the sb way and cant lose nothing so i know that i have to really be careful with my carbs to lose so here i am LETS DO THIS!!!!!

You can do it! Have faith in the diet and yourself. You have to know that you can do it. Tell yourself its not going to be like before. You have all the control! You have the POWA!!! *does some corny dance*
As much support you get , your the only one that can truley do it. Know your bombs, the foods that tempt you. (Some foods know my name!) Try your best not to even have them around. But if your like me and have a husband and kids, you can't. But you can keep junk food away, its not good for them either. Junk food like chips, candy, soda, etc.
I have only started Atkins on November 4th...I'm in Induction, I'll be your buddy if ya want and we can do this together.

Re: starting over and anxious
Hey Lisa welcome...I know you are scared. You have to do it one day at a time...and I can tell you that coming here all the time really strengthened me until I got into a good routine...In the beginning it's all about establishing plans, foods, water intake and exercise...you have to work hard to get it all planned and done, then you move to maintaining and sharpening your steps...
It's just today that you have to eat low carb, drink water and exercise...but a lot of "today" add up and you find yourself happening!74 8/1/06

Re: starting over and anxious
Hi Welcome to the board, Lisa!
Let me ask you a question: why do you want to lose weight? What will losing weight mean to you? It meant a whole lot of things to me like being able to go to amusement park with my kids with no fear of being kicked off the rides. Knowing what it means to you in concrete reasons is the first step to ensuring your success. Keep that picture -- real or visualized -- in front of you when you think about eating something off plan or when a saboteur suggests one bite can't hurt you.
Welcome again to the Board! I am glad you are here.Kent - 35-M-6'4"

Re: starting over and anxious
Hi everyone, thanks for all the comments, losing weight means a whole lot to me, and kent i can relate to the want to enjoy going to the amusement park with my kids, this last summer we went to disney and i feared everytime before we got on a ride was i going to fit, because i worked at six flags as a teenager and i remember some people who i would not consider that big could not fit on a lot of the rides, so yes i would love to be able to go and not have to worry, and that is what i want to do next year is take my kids to six flags and ride all the rides with them, but my biggest motivation here is my health, i want to see my kids grow up and im tired of feeling sorry for myself and i want a good boost in my self esteem so there are so many things i want out of losing weight, i just lose insight sometimes and i have a such a problem with emotional eating and a good support system is exactly what i need.

It's not all that hard, when you know and understand the process. Be sure to read around the Induction Forum.
