    Hello!

    Tomorrow will be my first day on the Atkins, again. I say "again" because this will not be the first time for me. I've tried Atkins in the past, succeeded, and like most, fell off the wagon! I'm getting back on!!!!!

    According to the charts, I'm supposed to be 135 lbs. I can't even remember ever weighing 135 lbs! When I graduated high school (almost 13 years ago) I tipped the scale at 250. Today, at 31, after having 2 children (had a baby almost a year ago) I am 185 lbs. This is a never ending battle for me!

    My goal is to lose 50 lbs. I'm not really sure how long it's going to take me to lose this much weight. I "mini" goal is to lose at least 15 lbs by my 32nd birthday, which is on January 8. Possible???? That's about 7 weeks -- so I would need to average a weight loss of 2 lbs a week. I need some MAJOR motivation!!!

    I can do this! I WILL DO THIS!!!!

    My job offered it's employees a free flu shot... I got mines today.. not feeling to good right about now! Hope I feel better tomorrow!

    Hey Sweetleilani! You totally CAN do this. There are tons of people around here who are very informative, and very friendly! People are always ready to help!

      I weighed my self this morning.... my starting weight is 189... 4 lbs MORE than I thought I was! That makes 54 lbs to lose!

        Hello and welcome to the board! Glad you found ADBB which is a great place for support, inspiration and good advice.
        I hope you make your birthday deadline, but remember this WOE is also all about good health. It's hard to predict your rate of weight loss, everyone's different... however, it's direction rather than speed that counts. (sorry, probably not what you want to hear...)
        Why not check out the Second Time Around forum where you'll get lots of support from people who are here for the second (or more) time.

          Leilani, you can do it. There is a time for everything and I know I am going to do this, but I may need help! So, feel free to talk, because I may talk to you! After reading this forum, I find I know so little and I thought I read the book....I must have skipped some. Good Luck and I am pulling for us, so I can congratulate you on your birthday! I have a goal of 30 pounds by the end of January.

              You've come to the right place to re-start your Atkins journey. Anything you need, we're all here for you. Hopefully you find this a great resource for information and support.

              You can definitely do this and keep us posted on your progress!

                  Welcome from the beautiful state of Hawaii. I used to live there and I would go back in a heart-beat if possible. You're not alone. Everyone here is sharing the journey with you to get healthy and lose weight. There is lots of information, challenges, life/health issues and wonderful people who will help keep you motivated.
