I just found this site yesterday and wanted to say HELLO.

I'm 41, widowed, and the single parent of an Autistic child.
I've used Atkins before, but have trouble keeping going.
I hope to find a diet buddy, if possible, in my area. I'm in VA

Welcome Lisa, I'm Jess. Glad you found us. We have a forum called "STAC" second time around club, I'd love to invite you to come over and check us out, that's how I found it...I admitted to having been on Atkins before.
Sounds like you have your hands full, and wow Atkin's way of eating and life can renew your energy, put food in a better place in your world, and get you feeling good again!

Hi Lisa! The Second Time Around Club (STAC) forum is midway down the full list, under the Atkins for Support section.

Welcome back to this WOL and WOE, and best of luck!

You can also start your own journal that others can reply to your post in.
It's in the list of forums, called Journal Chats.

You can start a record of things you'd like to keep track of, that no one but you can post in, under the Journal Stats forum. That's where you can keep track of things that you don't want lost in a bunch of replies from other members.

Thanks Jasmain. Found it.

I know I feel better when I eat lowcarb. No pain, blood sugar behaves itself, no acid reflux. Heck, my Dr. even supported it. Can't beat that. She said she uses the Atkin's diet for heart patients that need to loose weight quickly so that they can have surgery. I'm very lucky to have such a supportive Dr. She even reads up on the articles.

Welcome! So glad you found & decided to join us. This is the best place to get motivation, inspiration and ideas for doing this WOE. The best thing about this forum is that you'll never feel you are alone. We are all doing this together and making it happen! Best wishes!! Keep us posted on your progress.

Don't forget to take your measurements so you can see the inches melting as well as the pounds dropping!!
