  • Chromium Picolinate

    Hi all,

I'm just wondering, along with all the vitamins, magnesium, potassium, etc, that we take on this diet, has anyone used Chromium Picolinate also?

years age, it was the rage, I remember. I have been doing Atkins aaalllllllmmmmmmmost a year now, and have lost just over 60 lbs. Which, yes, I'm THRILLED with.

But, I'm just wondering if anyone has used this added pill, with their diet........

    Re: Chromium Picolinate

    Hi Theresa:

First, congrats on the 60 lbs!!!! Great job!!!!

I have used the chromium pic. I believe I was on it for about six month and I noticed no difference between being on it and being off it, concerning weight loss.

I'm lucky that my doctor is a big believer in Atkins WOL and, in addition to several other supplements, the one she suggested to boost my metabolism was Pyruvate. At 54, my metabolism needs all the boost it could get!

I'm glad you asked that question! It reminded me of the Pyruvate -- now I'm going to go buy some and get back on it!

    Keep up the great job!

          I am currently taking Chromium

My Dr recommended it to me, as it helps the blood cells become more sensitive to insulin - Im insulin resistant. However, you might want to check your daily vitamin, as alot of brands tend to include chromium in them.

I've taken it for the entire time I've been on Atkins (nearly 5 years). Dr. A recommended it, therefore, I take it.
