  • a very depressing year, need a fresh start

i began my weightloss journey in jan of this year. i was gonna lose weight to suprise my boyfriend that had just left for iraq. my plan worked.. i did lose weight, but i soon found out that wasn;t the only thing i had lost.
i went from 277.5 to 206.7 in about 7 months... i was so excited. i just knew he would be to when he came home...

i got really depressed when i found out that he had gotten engaged to another girl.. while he was in iraq..i didn't even know we were parting ways. but i maintained my weight until he came home... not to my arms but his wifes , so i hear. i quickley balloned up to 220...

not to mention that a guy i was talking to , said that he wanted to make me into the woman i should be,.. well thats not how he said it but that's what he meant. intead of losing weight i just kept gaining.. pretty bad year for me .. i lost my man,(ex ) and my apartment all in 1 year. i finally thouught i was getting my weight under control, but that failed to...

i just barley made it throught this past semester.. thank the lord i passed.

i gotta do this , lose weight that is.
for me ... i'm not trying to impress anyone . i just have to get control of my health. i don't ever wanna go back to what i was before. i just can't do that again. so in the moring i will begin induction again.. and with all of yall's support i know i will be able to meet my goals in no time..

    277.5/220/157.5

Meka, I'm sorry you had such a tough time. Yet, despite all you went through, you are still more than 50 pounds down from your high weight. That's wonderful. You've come to the right place. This board is full of knowledgable, supportive people who really want to help others succeed.

Come here and post often. Check out the induction forum, for day by day help and support. Consider starting a journal -- that's a great way to meet people and develop a group of friends and staunch supporters. And, check out the challenge forums for a little healthy competition (with yourself!) to keep you motivated.

Best of luck to you. Keep us posted....

I'm sorry to hear of your losses this year. You have definitely found the right place for losing weight and lots of emotional support as well.

Do yu have the 2002 edition of DANDR to read? If not, please get one and read up in the induction thread here on the board. You can do this, you will be at goal soon
