  • Hi...Again....

    I'm Tessa I have 2 kids and my husband is a Navy Seabee. He's currently deployed. I'd like to drop some weight before he gets back so I'm trying atkins again. Even when he does get back, I will still have a long way to go but I would like to have at least a noticable loss by then. I really think it's do-able. I started on 12/31. Yes, that's the day before the rest of the universe probably started ha ha but I have been so ready since I got back from Christmas vacation back home in Virginia. I need a little help setting a reasonable goal for 3 months from now. Any suggestions?
    Anyhoo, I look forward to making some friends, making some changes in my body and my energy level. Toodles!!

    By the way...I am 27 5'2 and (started out at) 250...YIKES!!! I want to lose 125 pounds. That's me in a nutshell!

    Welcome Tessa. YOu came to the right place for help. THe people here are wonderful. If you have any questions just ask, someone willbe able to help you. Take a look around and you will see that this board is encouraging. I to have a total of 125 or so lbs to lose. You can do it just keep you eye on the prize. Good Luck.

      Hi Tessa - Welcome to ADBB! My high weight was 248 - and I'm now on 180. So I am on the same journey as you! Join us in the Memorial Day Challenge - where we are all pushing ourselves (and each other) to be successful towards a thinner, healthier, fitter summer. (look for Challenges along the left hand side and click on it)

      It is great you started a day before everyone else - that just shows how motivated you are! Keep in touch during your induction so we can help, support, and cheer you on!

        Welcome to ADBB! You're in the right place for good advice, support and inspiration!

        Rather than setting hard and fast goals, why not go with the flow and see where you get...
        Eat right, exercise, drink masses of water, read DANDR 2002... that's the best recipe for shedding those pounds. You'll be a loser for sure if you follow it!!

          Hi MrsTessa! Welcome to the board! You can certainly drop some weight and look hot when your hubby returns. I know already you're a strong woman if you can handle having your hubby away for months at a time. I can't even imagine that. So use that strength, alter your eating and become healthy!

                  Hi Tessa, I would suggest you read the book and you can start on the atkins website and read this forum. I lost my book and bought a new one and read it while on break from school. Good luck........Dawn
