I joined this forum back in aug/06 but havent posted until now. I am a 44 year old Gramma of an almost 3 year old granddaughter. I always have had to watch my weight. I met my honey almost 20 years ago(Jan 12) he was overweight, I wasn't. Lets say we grew together. Anyhow I went from 130lbs up to my highest weight of 317 lbs. Now, that is love. He didnt care, or at least he didnt tell me he did. Got the dr's report that I would have to go on medication for high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and high cholesterol. As he was writing out the perscriptions I was saying to myself, no way I am going on these. Came home, threw out the junk and started that moment. That was February 1/06. My start weight was 301 lbs and I am now 209lbs. So I am almost at 100 lbs. I love the Atkins diet. It is awesome. I can't believe that I am saying that. This lifestyle is exactly what I was looking for. Please excuse the grammar and spelling mistakes, I'm working on that. Also since the holidays I have been struggling to GET BACK on track. I have been eating the sugar free chocolates and I have taken a serious liking to Wether's Caramel Chew's
The Wether's are not sugar free. I need some encouragement to get off of these sugar laden candies. Sorry I went on for so long. Glad to be here. Take care, Leanne
