    Hi my name is Melissa I am 24 and today is my 2nd day on this diet. I am so scared I am going to fail I just dont kno what to do with myself. I know everyone has this feeling but it is just so strong that I am fighting with myself to stay strong.

    Does anyone else feel like they are just eating to much? I guess all my life I have been told that eating to much will make you fat. Mabey it is just me but I am just scared.

    Welcome, come right on in, Melissa, and make yourself at home. Hang in there today, for you will soon feel better. Read threads and ask questions, and expect lots of support here.

    I hope you are eating as much as your hunger dictates, from the allowed foods lists according to DANDR. You may feel like you are eating a lot, but when ketosis kicks in you will naturally have less appetite and that will mean you eat less while being fully satisfied. For now, stay full so you won't be as likely to succumb to high carb temptations before you get past this transition.

      Hi Melissa and welcome to ADBB! Dont worry you will do fine..I too had the feeling that I was overeating in the very beginning but once I saw the pounds dropping off I knew that I was doing the plan right. As long as you are eating to satisfaction and not overeating you are doing it right. I wish you luck on your atkins journey =)

          Hi Melissa. I agree with the others, at first you can't imagine that you are trying to lose weight. We are used to feeling starved on other programs. Thats the beauty of Atkins, it satisfies you and at the same time you are reprogramming your body and mind. Sounds like you are experiencing normal feelings that we've all had to deal with. Best wishes, welcome and relax...soon you'll be more comfortable with this WOE and be so happy you didn't give up!
