  • Back after 25 yrs & 85 lbs.

I'm back after 25 years. This plan worked for me many, many years ago and it worked for several years. I drifted away from it when I fell into the hands of the high carbohydrate mafia. I started 4 days ago, lost 2 pounds, haven't been hungry at all and have eaten the healthiest I've eaten in many, many years. Halleluia! I'm so glad I'm back. I love these boards.

Thank you Sally for your support. It is really amazing how great I feel on this regimen - and I ALWAYS felt very good and healthy on it. I had tried to
do Atkins a few times through the years but rather halfheartedly - could never get over the initial hump. But recently I hit over 200 lbs and this really was the end for me. Plus I hit 50 last year and am concerned about health issues. Finally, I've been afraid to post my picture online to new friends which is absurd. I've lost the confidence I used to have in myself. I want to get it back now. My energy has increased quite a bit in the last day - I'm beginning to lose that sluggish feeling I've had for so many years. I know this time I'm going to do it.

Wow! Have you checked out the Second Time Around Club (STAC)? I'm thrilled to hear that after 25 years you still believe in the way this works! Have you read the DANDR book, or are you going by memory? I hope you make yourself at home on the board, it's a great place to be!
