  • Hi from the UK!

Hi there people, I'm Danielle from the UK saying hello to all you thinning beauties. I did actually try Atkins about four years ago and I'm afraid to say that back then I only lasted three days!!! In my defence, I have to say it seems to have gotten much easier...I'm sure I wasn't allowed ANY sugar substitutes the first time round, and has the vegetable rationing seen an increase as well...?

Anyway, I have been on induction for about a week and a half now, total weight loss of 5 pounds so far. Touch wood, it's all is going well, except for one problem: I can't get hold of psyllium husks, or flax seeds - I'm sure you can guess the problem...any ideas???

Well, good luck to everyone, I wish you all every success!

    Welcome.

I am a Brit presently living in Germany.

Flax seeds? We call them Linseed in UK. Holland and Barratt and many other health food shops sell them.
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.

I can't believe how I missed that, it's even labeled on Holland and Barrett's site as Milled Flaxseed (Linseed), which I have searched once already...

      Thanks!
