Hi Kgirl and welcome to the ADBB! Happy you decided to join us here. You'll find everyone ready to help and to motivate. We've all been where you are. If you get into the right mindset, you'll reach goal.
Roam the board and see everything that's going on. Join a challenge or two... they're great for motivation. You might like Jimmie's "No Scale Challenge"... two weeks of not weighing and then, hopefully... a nice surprise when you do. Here's the link:

Hey kgirluk! You can do lots of reading about the hows and whys and rules of this way of eating at the Induction Forum
It is important to gain all the knowledge you can so that you do a proper induction to get you on your merry way of eating this way for life! If you don't have the book yet, I would recommend you purchase a copy of the 2002 DANDR which is the book most people go by around here. I wish you success, please keep us posted!

Hiya,
I'm not in the Uk, but I'm close (Belgium) I just want to say good luck.. hang on. Pick one food that u just love.. fried.. that's part of your adkins list.. that's a trick.. something I usually feel guilty eating like "chicken wings" right.. and I get so satisfied with it.. that I can go on... gradually with adkins you're not hungry or craving food too much.. first few days might rough. Stick around with us and you'll be fine."Dare to be different, dare to be me"

Re: hello, all newbie from the uk help please!
Hi Kgirl
Just stick to the induction 100% for the 2 week period, and you wont believe how much will power you will find you have!! All your cravings will be gone - and you'll just be looking forward to your atkins foods - I know I do!!!
As Sally said - its quite good to join a challenge - weve just started a Bikini/trunk challenge to get us all ready for the summer if you'd like to join that, plus you'll make friends with everyone doing it too!!
I cant wait to hear how you've done on induction
good luck
