Howdy all. So here it is...Why am I here? Well, because I woke up one day and found out I was fat. Not a bit overweight as I had tried to rationalize, but fat. 260 lbs on my 5'10" frame. Thirty percent bodyfat, which is WAY too high. So here is the short version of the story...
I used to weight train all the time. I was an athlete in high school and tried to continue that way through higher education and beyond. These past couple of years, I was lazy. I used to weigh about 220lbs, which was pretty good with the muscle mass I carried. Good proportion, small gut. These past two years I settled into a relationship, settled into a chair at work, and stopped working out. BOOM! 260. Not any longer. I have been working out every morning and am feeling better already. Started "dieting" on 1/4/07.
I'm 247 this morning, and still getting stronger in the gym, so what I am losing is mostly fat. If anyone cares, I think I may start some kind of a journal on these forums. Seems like the support is nice...Don't be OVERLY nice to me though. I like negative reinforcement. If you think I am doing something wrong, tell it like it is...No sugarcoating. If you think I am doing something right, commend me, but there is no need to gush. When I get to my goal weight of 210 pounds with 15% body fat, I'll post before and after pictures.
On a side note, I have done lots of research on weight training and bodybuilding. If anyone wants any advice or pointers, feel free to hit me up. I'm here to help and be helped.
