  • Newbie :)

    Hi!

Figured I would do a quick intro here

    I'm Linda, I'm 21 years old and I've tried low carb/atkins a few times.
The few first times I fell off the wagon, not being properly motivated.
I started up again in september last year and before Christmas I was down 17pounds, but after a slip during the holidays I gained back 5pounds.
So, now I'm going to start up again

I look forward to being a member of this forum, I've been peaking around and this seems like an awesome place. The before&after pictures are so motivational!

    Re: Newbie

Hi Vekttap; welcome to ADBB! Glad you've decided to re-commit to Atkins and get healthy along with us.

You've done the diet before so you know it can work very well if you stick to the way it's meant to be done. With the help and support of everyone on this board you stand a great chance of making goal.

Have you read the book? We use the DANDR 2002 edition here, which was the last one Dr A wrote entirely.

You might like to check out Jimmie's board wide No Scale Challenge, where you weigh, then put away the scale for a couple of week. It helps tremendously with averting that dependence on the scale that can happen so easily, particularly at the start. If you're interested, look in the "Challenges" forum, where you'll find all the info.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have. We're here to help.
    Before and after:

    PLEDGING FLIGHTS
Completed: 1st set of buildings and mountains (Everest,M.Blanc & Kilimanjaro, twice); Tower Masts & Chimneys; More virtual buildings; Challenger's Choice x 2 (volcanos and mountains on Mars). Currently climbing: Mount Snowdon again: 416/475

Start 10 Jan 2005. Maintenance since Aug. 2005.

      Thank you for the welcome!

I haven't read the book yet, I am planning to order it as soon as I get paid though!

Thank you for the tip I know I was looking at some of the exercise challenges, which looks like fun so I think I will join those in the future!

Welcome Linda. So happy you're here. You've tried it before, but this time you have the best support system world-wide to help you and keep you encouraged. Jump into the forums, get involved with the challenges, make friends with the wonderful people here and you'll see why this place rocks. Be sure to get the book and read it. It is info and advice and case studies straight from Dr. Atkins' mouth. This program works, we are all here for you....
