After searching for info on the atkins diet, I came across this board and I am soooo excited. I have tried atkins before but always gave up after a few days. I need lots of support and motivation, and after reading a bit on ADBB the people seem so nice and helpful.
I feel confident that I found a place that can help me on my journey.
I do have a question that I have been dying to find out an answer for. Whenever I read about the induction period and the 12-15 net carbs, I find a contradiction, sometimes it says to only have 2-3 cups of lettuce or one cup of acceptable veggies, but that is really below 12-15 net carbs. When I'm on the atkins advantage site and read there menu for induction it incorporates a lot more vegetables, I also read one of Atkins books and it said the same about having no more then 2 cups of lettuce and 1 cup of vegies. Im so confused and I really want to follow the diet exactly. If anyone can give me an answer I would really appreciate it.
