    Re: Hi everyone

you are at the right place to be. two weeks may seem long, but i am going on pushing toward two years, loosing is the battle, maintaing is the war... but what a delightful war it is, so sweet when i have my guard up and i am winning. so keep in mind, two weeks versus the rest of your life and make the decision from there. i know i started only wanted to get under 200 and now i am under 140 for the first time in my life, i was never this small as a teenager, or an adult. i to have tried many diets, but this is the first one i could pig out all freaking day long for several days straight if i wanted to on all the boiled eggs, broiled and boilded meats and a varilty of cheeses and carry on with my binge and loose the fat, once i got on a roll and got the sugars out of my system i was no longer crawing and hungry and was able to balance my eating more, add green veggies, i still dont do very many carbs or starches, rice yellow or white veggies, just on occasion because I GAIN WHEN I ADD THEM BACK........ and i dont ever do fruit (yet) TRIED IT AND GAINED... so i am staying when i loose and maintain. and i still can go crazy on a 6 egg omlet with ham cheese and heavy whipping cream, i dont count eggs as having carbs, but i think two eggs equal one carb, i dont count cheese either... some hints, heaving whipping cream zero carbs, parmasian chesse less than 2 grams for a half a cup, i use it as breading and deep fry catfish filets and chicken tenders, i tried shrimp too, (it did not work well on freid oysters or fied cheese though) you put seasonings, salt pepper and sometimes i dip it in eggs first. cream cheese with sweetner and any flavoring add heaving whipping cream or sour cream or cottage cheese, cinnimon and sweetner in cottage cheese warmed it good, i do all the adkins shakes and all the russell stover sugar free candies, and carry them in my purse daily, once in a while i have dinner out, at taco bell using the buritto as the plate, i will have two or three beef burritos that way, mcdonalds with everything and no bread, toss it out the window for the birds.... any steak house, green salad and green beans in place of the potato, once in a while i will have a slice of low carb bread, 6 carbs a slice, but i find i dont crave bread to much and the griled cheese was gross anyway. i keep alot of meats, corn beef and cabage, stew meat, steak, chicken turkey, low carb yogart, i check lables on everyhing, even cheese, some cheese has zero, some have 4 carbs a slice, i pretty much know what is what now, i carry a low carb book in my purse for so long i pretty much know what i can or can not eat. I did/do have planned cheats all though my loss, every friday night we eat at moms and i have a bit
and on thanksgiving and christmas i ate what i wanted to but i was close to goal i dont know if i would have done that at the begining. i drink a lot of flavored water, and i dont use ketois sticks, i only weigh once a month, and i dont do a lot of exercise, because i am on my feet all day as it is

any way i am ratttling on, i have not been here for a few weeks so i need to shut up..... good luck to you. stay in there....

              Re: Hi everyone

Hi Rachel. Those first 2 weeks are the hardest, and after that it gets much easier!

My advice is to do a clean induction, eating whole foods (yummy things like eggs, butter, fresh veggies, non-processed meats, olive oil, etc.) and by avoiding shakes, bars, and sugar-free chocolates. That stuff SAYS it's legal for induction, but the listed ingredients aren't legal until much later in OWL. That way you can cleanse your system and really put yourself on a successful track!

Oh, and drink LOTS of water! This helps flush out your system, keeps you hydrated, and can also alleviate symptoms of induction flu.

I love the fact that you've set smaller minigoals to keep you on track--smart thinking!
