    Hi everybody, my names chez i'm from the u.k i'm 37 married 3 boys 17. 15 & 6.
    I have really 5 stone to lose, and all it is is just will power.
    I've tried the Atkins diet before but just did'nt have the will power to stick to it. now i have found this forum and i believe with your support i can do it
    I have recentely moved house and i cant find my Atkins book can someone please advise me on a typical days induction of what to eat if i remember rightly the induction is for 2 weeks.

    Hello Chezy and welcome to ADBB! This is a great place to come to if you're looking for support to motivate and boost your will power. I'm sure that if you come to the board often, you'll become a big loser and find the determination to stick to this way of eating.

    Yes, induction is two weeks... after that you can continue in extended induction or move to OWL (ongoing weight loss).

    I'd advise you to check out the induction forum where there are lots of stickies giving information about the first phase of Atkins. Here are two useful links:

    Note that 20g carbs is the induction limit.

    A clean induction is important because you'll be able to determine your level of metabolic resisitence from the amount you lose during the first two weeks.

      Hi, Sally's already given you great advice to get you started in the right direction. I just want to add that we're very happy to have you join us and look forward to hearing about your success. Also....if you haven't already...take some measurements. Losing the inches is greater motivation than watching the scale numbers go down. WELCOME!!
