Hello Everyone!
It's been 6 years since my last child was born and I'm still wearing the weight I gained (40 pounds). Add to that the extra 20 or so I was carrying before the pregnancy and that takes you to my weight loss goal of about 60 pounds give or take some.
I like to run (an epiphany I just discovered last spring) and had planned on running a marathon this last fall, but then my knee started bothering me and I stopped training and running all together, I was so depressed.
I'd like to get back on the running track, but know that I need to lose some weight so I don't aggravate the injury again. Another reason to lose all this extra weight is so that I can look in the mirror and recognize myself. I'm always surprised to see myself this heavy. It's not a nice feeling.
I also know that I need to take baby steps in regards to this new way of life. I've got a bad attitude of "all or nothing" so if something sets me back I tend to quit. I need to learn to curb that tendency and go slow and steady and be committed. Every step gets me to my journey.
Thanks for being here. I plan to poke around a little bit now and "meet" each of you.
